Two hearts. One story.

Endless memories yet to be made...

Love crossed borders, stole hearts, and packed a suitcase full of spice, sarcasm, and smørrebrød. Now, with families joining hands and hearts full of joy, Vasundhara & Christian invite you to join them as they tie the knot- with a little bit of desi flair and nordic charm.

Wedding Festivities

Date: 11th February
Time: 5:30 pm - Morning

10:30 am - Welcome- See you at the lawns enjoying a drink or two.

11:00 am - Tilak and Chunni - Groom gets marked, blessed, and officially welcomed—basically, it's a "we approve of you… now here's some sweets" moment from the bride's family. Think brotherly love, symbolic red dots (also called Tilak), and the start of two families vibing together.  The bride gets draped with a chunni (traditional long scarf/veil) by her new fam, making it official—she's the one. Expect sparkle, sweets, and a whole lot of love from her soon-to-be in-laws.

12:00 pm - Chuda & Kaleere - The bride gets her red and white bangles (also called chuda) from her maternal uncle. It's emotional, traditional, and everyone suddenly realizes—this is happening. The bangles aren't just pretty—they carry generations of love. Tied to the chuda by family members, Kaleere are golden danglers with meaning, mischief, and major photo potential! Each Kaleere says, "We're with you, always"—no pressure, just glam.

After the kaleere are tied, gather around the bride and take a seat. Let the kaleere make some sneaky predictions. As the bride clinks her wrists if a kaleera drops on you—yep, you might be next!

1:30 pm - Lunch

2:30 pm - Haldi - Step up and smear the bride and groom with a bright yellow turmeric paste - supposedly for glowing skin, definitely for glowing vibes! Expect laughter, a little mess, and zero chances of staying clean.

All day - Mehndi - Get adorned with intricate mehndi designs on your hands anytime during the day. The darker the stain, the deeper the love (or so the aunties swear!).

Warning: Random dance breaks are highly likely!

5:30 pm- Welcome - Enjoy the sounds of Indian classical music with a drink in hand. As you arrive, men can get an Indian turban—called a safa—tied. You'll choose between two colors: one for the bride's side, one for the groom's. This is where you officially pick teams! Expect lots of fabric, questionable coordination, and a sudden boost in swagger.

6:15 pm - Groom's entry - Christian's grand entrance comes with some dance moves. But first, he's got to negotiate his way past the bride's family squad—brace for some fun drama! Think bribes, jokes, and maybe a little chaos before he scores his win.

6:45 pm - Bride's entry - And just like that, the party gets a whole lot more fabulous.

7:00 pm - Indian wedding ceremony - Watch the bride and groom make it official by walking around the sacred fire. The ceremony will be conducted in both Sanskrit and English. During the ceremony, the bar will be closed but will be promptly opened right after.

8:30 pm - Dinner  & Speeches - Find your designated seat and get ready for dinner, plus a whole lot of speeches, Danish style! We'll follow cherished Danish wedding traditions throughout the meal.

  • If the bride leaves the room, all the women get to come up and steal a peck on the groom's cheek—and vice versa.
  • When guests stomp their shoes on the floor, the bride and groom dive under the table for a kiss.
If cutlery clinks on glasses, the couple hops on their chairs for a smooch.

As soon as dinner wraps, the dance floor officially opens!

11:45 pm - Brudevalsen- Bridal waltz - Watch the newlyweds share their first dance as husband and wife, plus a kiss just before midnight. Right after, the groom's socks and the bride's veil will be ceremoniously cut off.

Midnight - Natmad - night snacks - Refuel with some light snacks and keep the party going into the night!
